My second practice

My second teaching practice was on Monday 13rd; It was a very nice experience because this time I felt comfortable; I didn’t feel nervous. I started doing a warm up activity called “The invisible board” in which the students participated and enjoyed a lot.

 All my class was going well until the last minutes. We will probably have some problems in which we have to have a second plan. This is what happened to me, I was developing my class in a very good way, but some of these students are in a very basic level; they were speaking all the time in Spanish which was difficult for me because some of them asked me to explain them in Spanish, so the time was flying, and it was missing one activity, so I started the activity and the time was not enough and I had to finish the activity because of the time.

I will try to do things better for my next class, but for now i feel happy for me because i have gained experience which will help me for my future classes.

 

My first time teaching English

My first teaching experience was on Thursday the 9th at 8:30. I started the class with a warm up activity called “Pass the dice” which was pretty good because students participated and enjoyed the activity. The first minutes I could handle everything in a good way, but after that I got nervous which was very difficult because I had to play a listening conversation and the audio did not work, so in that moment I really felt desperate, but I tried to calm down and I could handle it.

This experience was kind of difficult for me because I taught grammar and vocabulary. My group are in a basic level which I think; it is kind of difficult for they are in very basic level. At the end of the class I was a little disappointed because I know I can do it better, but it was my first time, so for my next class I have some ideas on mind which I will apply in order to have a very nice class.
